Well it looks like I am finally able to get around to writing this post so I can share my June empties with everyone. I wanted to start doing this for a few reasons.
1) I constantly receive questions about what I am using or if I like a certain product.
3) Finishing a product gives me time to decide if I love it, like it, or hate it!
Now onto the good stuff. DRUMROLL PLEASE!!!!!
I know a few of you are looking at this photo & wondering how a Lush product ended up in the mix. It’s Okay!
I just love to try products from all over the world (including the United States).
Lush Cosmetics Breath of Fresh Air Toner Water
Lush is a company that specializes in all natural ingredients & is known for taking a stand against animal testing. That’s a win in my book. They even provide a label that shows who made the product & when it was done. I bought this while I was waiting for another toner to arrive from South Korea. I did not want the typical Western toner that is full of alcohol so I searched for products that would be kind to my face. The smell is very herbal, but not completely overpowering.
***WARNING*** It has an extremely thick consistency for something that is meant to be sprayed directly on your face. I jumped a mile the first time I tried it. After that I switched to the cotton ball method & my face loved me for it.
As much as I liked the toner I don’t think I will repurchase. There is nothing wrong with the product, but in a nature versus science type of world my skin gravitates towards science. I think I like to mix the best of both worlds.
Shara Shara Green Oasis Lifting Eye Cream
I received this eye cream courtesy of Memebox. At one point I was afraid to order anything from them because Shara Shara was in all of their boxes! This is the first eye cream I have used since I switched from Estee’ Lauder. While I loved their products I can’t say my wallet felt the same way.
Using an eye cream makes a huge difference for me. I always joke that I am cute by Asian beauty standards. Aegyo? Check. Eye smile? Check. Unfortunately this also means that my eyes can appear puffy if I am not careful. Shara Shara is on the lower end of the Korean skincare scale, but I still think that it may be better than some of the U.S. drugstore brands. This is another item I would not repurchase, but I would rather use a cheap eye cream than none at all.
Shara Shara Black Bear Miracle Capsule Cream
Look it’s more Shara Shara! This is from the Memebox X Soothing Sista collaboration. I really liked this box so I decided to give this cream a chance. Even though it says cream it is a clear lightweight gel so don’t let the name fool you. Since I live in a hot & humid climate this product didn’t leave my skin feeling sticky or like I was walking around with a mask. I was able to use this product twice a day without any issues. I would definitely repurchase again in the future.
The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Oil
This is a repeat purchase for me so obviously I love it. I was drawn to this as soon as I saw the word rice. LOL I used this as part of the double cleansing method. It is amazing with make up removal. At first it seemed very strange to put oil on my face, but once I saw the results I was sold. It’s such a gentle way to remove make up, dirt, oil, etc. that I really dislike harsh foam cleansers. I will more than likely repurchase this in the future. I also love the fact that The Face Shop has stores here in Texas so I can visit in person. All in all it wasn’t a bad month. I would repurchase two out of four products.
Have you tried any of these products yet? Which one is your favorite?
